The Product Integrity Group plays a key role in keeping up the standards. Through work with the team you will have the unique opportunity to impact products all across Apple, because here new ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. We are looking for an engineer to design, develop and deploy calibration and test instrumentation systems for Apple’s world class products. This engineer will work closely with cross-functional groups (Design, ME, EE, SW, Ops, etc.) throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to ensure the success of current and future Apple products. DESCRIPTION You will be responsible for the design specification, bring up, validation and deployment of automated instrumentation to calibrate and test Apple’s products through NPI and mass production. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or related discipline 2+ years professional experience (or equivalent) in design, development, debug, validation and working with electro-mechanical systems Basic understanding of hardware concepts and EE fundamentals (i.e. HW architecture, Control System, Signal processing etc.) Programming skills in one or more of the following: C/C++/Objective-C, Python, Lua PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of consumer electronics modules like sensors (light/force/pressure/touch/motion) and/or acoustics (speaker/microphone). Experience with digital signal processing (DSP). Understanding of test principles, GRR, experience with test automation and optimization. Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing. Experience analyzing, processing, plotting, and mining large data sets. Understanding of test principles, GRR, experience with test automation and optimization. Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to manage many priorities across multiple
disciplines. Experience or deep understanding of AI/ML modeling. Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to handle many priorities across teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Domestic and international travel may be required (up to 10%).
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy automated instrumentation systems for the calibration and testing of Apple products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the New Product Introduction phase to ensure successful mass production.
