Your role at St John of God Bendigo Hospital You will work alongside theatre staff, you will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, packaging, and sterilisation of surgical sets. We have opportunities for permanent part time roles and hours will be negotiated with successful candidates. Cert III/IV in Health – Sterilising desirable, not mandatory. The Position Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good condition. Restock cleaning and sterilisation supplies and report of low stock. Undertake cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of all reusable medical devices within Main Theatre and Day Surgery units. Participation in ongoing training and development to enhance your understanding of instrument cleaning, handling, disinfection and sterilization processes. Practice good housekeeping to maintain a clean and tidy work area. Maintain efficient, standards based practice to provide quality medical devices for clinical use. Perform daily and weekly tests and cleaning as required. Keep accurate and thorough documentation. Organize repair servicing via MexOps, tagging out as required. You will have ability to use initiative, demonstrate reliability and thereby require minimal supervision and guidance. To succeed you will have understanding of Infection Control principles and practice and relevant education in sterilising technology is desirable. We can offer you Salary: $62932 to $69489 per annum (pro rata for part-time),plus 12% superannuation Permanent part time role, working up to 32 hours a fortnight.
