ENGINEERED SYSTEMS TEC 3 $63,200 - $99,000

This position involves working in a team environment to learn from fellow technicians and technologists. An EST 3 in this position will be required to participate in maintenance and upgrades of current systems as well as installation of future instrumentation and control systems. On any given workday the successful candidate’s activities will vary between troubleshooting and maintaining existing systems, fabricating/assembling/deploying new systems, soldering, assembling cables, wiring chassis and modifying field wiring.

Responsibilities:

The Accelerator Operations and Technology (AOT) Division is seeking an Engineered Systems Tec level 3 or 4 for the Instrumentation and Controls Group - Controls Hardware Team. The successful candidate will work on the AOT-IC Hardware team, which is primarily responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and supporting hardware systems for the control and data acquisition of the accelerator at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center.
This position will be filled at either the Engineered Systems Tec 3 or Engineered Systems Tec 4 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
