Description
This Instrumentation Technician is primarily responsible for repair, maintenance, and build-up of electronic test instrumentation associated with various vehicle testing at the Stellantis Chelsea Proving Grounds. This position will provide exposure to a broad range of electronic troubleshooting/ repair/ calibration/ builds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, PLC’s/ industrial controls, and demonstrated trouble-shooting skills.  Other duties may include general bench work (building cable harnesses, circuit assembly, test boxes), calibrating meters and sensors, network/ PC repair.  Qualifications Basic Qualifications: * A minimum of certificate course or 2 year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or military equivalent. * Some experience in troubleshooting/calibrating instrumentation and test equipment. * Motivated to work both independently and as part of a team (flexible to provide necessary support when required) * Good communication skills are also required as the candidate will be interacting regularly with the engineering support staff and management. * Basic computer skills using MS Office. * Valid driver’s license.   Preferred Qualifications: * Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or military equivalent * 2 years minimum experience working in the field of electronics * Experience trouble-shooting instrumentation, data acquisition, AC/ DC drives, PLC’s/ industrial controls in an automotive test lab environment.
