Description
  Leads reliability and incident investigations for “bad actor” instrumentation, facilitate root cause failure analysis, and providing recommendations for improvement based on thorough analysis and economic evaluation. Performs instrumentation system condition assessments to develop shutdown or turnaround scopes, estimates, and departmental budget items or reliability improvement projects. Reviews continuously the refinery’s instrumentation standards and initiates changes as required which are compliant to instrumentation and control best practices. Makes control system hardware systems feasibility studies, prepares cost estimates of proposed projects, changes and revisions to existing instrumentation control hardware, software and programs. Prepares and updates the documentation of completed instrumentation system in accordance with the standards documentation requirements and turns over completed projects to users for actual production runs. Develops and recommends plans for the efficient implementation of control and instrumentation for all project type.
