TDE is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to design and implement instrumentation systems to facilitate engineered and fabricated oil and gas production equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mid-sized fabrication company would be an asset.
- Related education from NAIT or SAIT and located in the Edmonton area.
- Proficiency in the use of Computer-Aided Engineering Software in an engineering design.
- Good analytical, engineering problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of various Instrumentation manufacturers.
- Skills in ACAD software would be an asset.
- Experience with HAZOP, SIL, LOPA Studies would be asset.
- Knowledge and experience applying codes and standards such as IEC, ATEX, CSA, NEC, ISA and API.
- Knowledge of Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) would be an asset.
- Knowledge of various electrical components including MCCs, PLC panels, VFD’s, electrical switchgear and motors. Understanding of the methods required to make all these systems function together in an operating plant.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office application software.
- Attention to details.
- Ability to work under time constraints within project team environment.
- Proficient knowledge of industry best practices.
- Proven ability to produce high quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate an ability to prioritize activities and stay focused in a dynamic ever changing environment.
