REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyman Instrumentation Certification.
  • Leadership and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of automation, electrical systems, control systems and software integration.
  • Expertise in instrumentation calibration, P&ID, loop sheets, and various communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in project management principles to manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Strong knowledge of code, standards and safety regulation requirements.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections, audits, and performance testing.
  • Ability to multi-task important projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and complete them within scheduled deadlines.

  • Willingness to continually learn and advance technical knowledge
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (required for safety-sensitive roles)
  • Verification of a clean driving record, as defined by Control Tech’s standards (e.g., no major violations, no more than 3 infractions in the past 5 years).

Responsibilities
  • Leading Instrumentation team members by assigning tasks, providing guidance and evaluating performance.
  • Design, install, maintain and upgrade instrumentation and control systems to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage projects from scope development and cost control to scheduling and execution, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with Control Tech and Client specifications and contract requirements.
  • Interface with clients, cross functional teams, vendors, and other departments to communicate requirements and progress.
  • Monitor equipment performance, generate technical reports and analyze key maintenance parameters.
  • Assist all team members as required to execute projects safely.
  • Various duties assigned by the Control Tech supervision team for project completion are not limited to Instrumentation.
