POSITION SUMMARY

Our Instrumentation team is looking for qualified QA/QC candidate for work on various sites across western Canada

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CWB Level 1 is an asset
  • Must be a certified Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician
  • Swagelok tubing and fitting installation experience required
  • Tubing pressure testing knowledge
  • Valid non-GDL Driver’s License
  • Industrial experience in a live plant setting is required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Strong communicator (Both written and verbal)
  • Able build & follow Inspection and Test Plans and perform a variety of inspections outlined in the ITP
  • Working knowledge of ABSA, B31.3, & Z662
  • Ensures installations are compliant with applicable Codes/Standards
  • Practical knowledge of metering and test equipment
  • Ability to perform Instrument inspections, calibrations, & tubing pressure testing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Bluebeam experience an asset
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations on shift rotation
  • Document retention
  • Completion of Project Turnover to Clients
  • Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards
  • Distribute quality control documentation to site sub-contractors
  • Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters
  • Perform pre-inspections and assist with material receiving processes to ensure that all fabricated and installed materials conform with the applicable standards, drawings, and specifications
  • Continually monitor work in progress via the QC audit process
  • Monitoring tubing installation, recording heat numbers
  • Ensuring proper size/grade is being used
  • Building Hydrotest packages, ensuring all applicable codes and standards are addressed
  • Drafting AB-083s
  • Material receiving, tracking MTRs
  • Comparing material grades to client standards
