INSULATOR / SHEET METAL WORKER - OIL & GAS SECTOR

Location: Various Project Sites Across Australia
Employment Type: Contract and Permanent Opportunities Available
Roster: FIFO / DIDO Options Available
We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Insulators with Sheet Metal experience to support ongoing and upcoming shutdown works in the oil and gas sector across Australia.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated experience as an Industrial Insulator and/or Sheet Metal Worker in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in working with insulation materials (e.g., mineral wool, calcium silicate, polyurethane) and cladding systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work packs, and insulation schedules.
  • Strong awareness and commitment to HSE standards and site procedures.
  • Current and valid certifications including:
  • Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Relevant trade qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Engineering - Sheet Metal or similar) preferred
  • High Risk Work Licence and EWP (advantageous)
  • Full Australian working rights.
Responsibilities
  • Installation, maintenance, and removal of thermal and acoustic insulation on piping, vessels, and associated equipment.
  • Fabrication and installation of sheet metal cladding using a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and galvanised sheeting.
  • Measuring, cutting, and shaping insulation and metal materials according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in line with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Adhering strictly to safety protocols and environmental regulations on site.
  • Coordinating with other trades and supervisors to meet project milestones and maintain quality.
