  • Associate Degree or higher or
  • Minimum 2 years+ P&C commercial insurance experience.
  • Minimum 2 years+ account management or relationship management experience in insurance.
  • Current P&C insurance license required.
  • Fluent in Spanish language required.
  • Strong knowledge of Agency Management Systems (EPIC), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Applied or other agency management system.
  • Legally able to work in United States.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, highly collaborative individual to join our fast-growing team as a P&C Commercial Insurance Account Manager. This role will work closely with the sales and operations team to manage existing and new business accounts. The role will manage a dedicated book of business and work with a range of clients across industries. Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products as well as account management experience are required. We are seeking candidates who display a positive and proactive attitude, as well as strong organizational skills, exemplary customer service skills, including the ability to prioritize and multitask.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages a book of insurance business, while acting with a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making.
  • Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and colleagues, to deliver a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Lead account rounding and cross selling efforts for assigned book of business.
  • Lead client service, marketing, and renewal processes for assigned book of business.
  • Provide support to Sales and Account Executives in quoting, obtaining, maintaining, and expanding new business opportunities.
  • Oversee the preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts.
  • Lead renewals for assigned book of business.
  • Support business development and sales efforts for new clients including new customer acquisition and quote management.
  • Acquire understanding of clients’ insurance objectives and critically analyses and compares insurance plans to best meet their needs.
  • Stay up to date on carrier programs, compliance, regulation and other relevant industry information.
  • Work within operations team to achieve customer service standards and client retention targets.
  • Act as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues that require policy interpretation and experience-based judgment to resolve. May also need to negotiate with underwriters and carriers.
  • Troubleshoot billing and service-related issues.
  • Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business.
  • Appropriately document conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates all computer systems and automated agency management systems when necessary. Ensure the accuracy of data in those systems.
  • Prepare reports for management as required.
  • Attend industry related continuing education training and courses.
  • Collaborate and support colleagues as needed, as well as contributes to continuous operational improvements, service standards and excellence.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
