JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Billing Specialist to join our small psychiatry office (one doctor and one part-time office assistant). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in medical billing and coding, and maintaining comprehensive medical records. This role is crucial in facilitating timely collections and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
This is a part-time hybrid onsite/remote 25-hour per week position with 7 hours per week onsite at the San Jose office required. During this time, you will collaborate with the office assistant and the doctor.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations is highly desirable.
  • Experience with medical records management and collections processes is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are required.
