JOB LOCATION

this position is open to licensed insurance brokers across the interior of British Columbia. Ranging from Osoyoos, Okanagan Region, and Revelstoke.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Secondary School Diploma
· 1 – 2 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must hold or obtain a Level 2 General Insurance Salesperson License (We are willing to train, for the right candidate)
· Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position
· Customer service orientation, driven to help customers meet needs or resolve problems
· Team player, driven to ensure that the whole team is successful in meeting customer needs
· Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interview skills
· Experience working in a sales environment where formal selling thresholds, targets and goal setting are routine
· Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development
· Industry experience in financial services, retail, hospitality, travel etc.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

This position processes residential insurance transactions and policies, including but not limited to homeowners, tenants, and condominium policies. Requires Level II licensing and operates under the supervision of a Level III broker.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

· Processes basic insurance transactions, personal lines policies and contracts often including items such as residential and recreational property, boats and other personal pleasure craft, and jewelry under the supervision of a more senior licensed broker.
· Identifies client needs and provides information on varying insurance packages such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client’s needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk.
· Recommends and implements a client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collects payment; promotes credit union products and services.
· Responds to emergencies and assists clients with their claims.
