Job Title: Manager of CAT Operations
Location: Vancouver - Remote
Job Summary:
The Manager of CAT Operations plays a vital role in supporting the operational needs of the CAT division and reports directly to the Director of CAT. This position is responsible for managing relationships with CAT vendors, ensuring seamless operational execution, and handling escalated customer concerns. Additionally, the role involves assisting with CAT coordination, overseeing special projects, and ensuring adherence to company processes and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of our CAT vendors ensuring compliance and service expectations
  • Manage and resolve escalated internal and external customer concerns efficiently
  • Assist in CAT coordination, including organizing travel arrangements for CAT deployments
  • Support special projects and initiatives as needed
  • Review billing and fee structures to ensure compliance with client expectations and company guidelines
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, addressing inquiries from internal staff and external customers

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Managers to resolve adjuster and operational challenges
  • Collaborate with other departments to effectively support client needs
  • Assist internal stakeholders in understanding and adhering to client procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with various departments in the implementation of projects involving change management, operations, and integration
  • Be available for travel on short notice for extended periods (1-2 weeks)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience managing multiple projects with evolving schedules and priorities
  • Extensive background in claims operations and CAT event management
  • Strong ability to translate organizational strategy into operational execution
  • Excellent judgment, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment
  • High level of personal integrity and professionalism
  • Skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with Senior Management, Adjusters, Clients, and Insureds
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic and capable of leading teams while fostering a positive, team oriented environment
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Competitive Pay: $80-105K/year
