Description We are seeking a skilled and committed Insurance Coordinator to join our team and assist us in delivering exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate for the Insurance Coordinator position should possess a natural inclination towards providing compassionate care. This new team member will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and calculating patient financial responsibility for our practice within set guidelines. Responsibilities: Respond to patient's questions concerning billing and payments Processing patient insurance payments Submit claims to insurance companies Research and examine all claims Process outstanding claims reports Work denied claims and submit corrected claims Post EFT, check payments, and credit card payments Process insurance payments Answering phone calls promptly Excellent communication skills Must enjoy interacting with patients Focused on details and the ability to stay organized The ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively Requirements Minimum 1 year of medical and dental insurance verification experience preferred Experience with oral surgery insurance processes is a plus At least 2 years of customer service experience in a patient-focused environment Strong verbal and written communication skills with a problem-solving mindset Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in all work Comfortable working closely with patients and as part of a collaborative team Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and safety High school diploma or equivalent required Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Paid time off 401(k) with company match If you have a knack for turning complex insurance processes into a smooth, positive experience for patients—and you’re ready to work with a supportive, professional team—this could be the perfect fit for you.
