SUMMARY

In an operational environment with an involvement in more and more complex contract structures, with high expectations from DEME’s worldwide clients and with increasing regulatory restrictions from authorities, DEME today is able to offer its worldwide clientele a total solution through a variety of innovative international contract forms for complex dredging, marine engineering, infrastructure and environmental projects.
You will be part of the DEME legal department, situated at DEME’s headquarters, with an extensive and complimentary team of in-house legal counsels, each of them covering and responsible for one or more geographical areas in the world, DEME business units and particular professional domains.

Your responsibilities

  • Analysing contracts with respect to liabilities and insurable risks
  • Risk assessment
  • Giving advice and support to the working companies of the DEME group on insurance matters
  • Negotiation with brokers and insurance-companies concerning policy-content and premiums
  • Build up expertise regarding available insurance products

Your profile

  • You hold a degree in law and have at least 5 years experience in insurance matters
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch.
  • You work autonomously and are a problem-solver by nature.
  • You have an eye for order and organization and enjoy being part of a team.
  • You have excellent communication and social skills.
  • You are flexible towards short-notice travelling
