The New York City office of Kaufman Dolowich, recognized by U.S. News as one of the “Best Companies to Work For – Law Firm,” is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with a minimum of two years of experience handling program matters, including coverage analysis as well as monitoring matters involving D&O management liability, employment practices liability, lawyers professional liability and other professional liability lines. Duties and Responsibilities Analyzing insurance policies Drafting coverage opinions, reservations of rights and disclaimers Monitoring D&O, EPL, LPL and E&O cases across the U.S. Retaining and communicating with defense counsel for Insureds Preparing bordereau and other clients-specific reports Reporting and meeting with underwriters and program producers Qualifications Experience interpreting D&O, EPL, LPL, E&O and various other insurance policies Drafting coverage opinions and coverage letters Experience with Lloyd’s of London program accounts, highly preferred Superior legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Why KD? The attorney will be responsible for analyzing insurance policies and drafting essential coverage documents such as opinions, reservations of rights, and disclaimers. Key duties also involve monitoring D&O, EPL, LPL, and E&O cases nationwide and managing communications with defense counsel and underwriters.
