Qualified retirement plan (401k) with Employer Match  * Fair and competitive compensation Position Summary The Insurance Customer Support Coordinator serves as a primary administrative and customer service support resource for insurance agents and customers. This role focuses on providing timely, professional assistance, coordinating documentation, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout routine insurance-related interactions. This is an entry-level position designed to support with customer service through insurance operations and regulated business environments. The role does not involve selling insurance, providing coverage advice, or acting as a licensed agent. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Communication * Serve as a first point of contact for customers with routine questions related to insurance documentation, application status, and next steps * Provide clear, professional, and empathetic communication to customers via phone, email, and internal messaging * Follow up with customers to request missing documentation or clarify administrative requirements * Maintain a customer-focused mindset while managing sensitive or time-sensitive situations Agent & Internal Support * Support licensed insurance agents by handling administrative tasks that allow agents to focus on customer advising and sales * Coordinate communication between customers, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth processing * Track open items and proactively follow up to prevent delays or service gaps Documentation & Processing * Prepare, review, and process insurance forms, applications, and related documents * Enter and maintain accurate customer and policy information in internal systems * Ensure files are complete, organized, and ready for review or submission Compliance & Quality Support * Adhere to established procedures and regulatory requirements related to documentation and data handling * Identify missing or inconsistent information and escalate issues appropriately * Maintain confidentiality and data security standards at all times General Administrative Support * Assist with reporting, tracking, and basic metrics related to customer service and processing timelines * Support special projects and peak-period workloads * Perform other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Required * High school diploma or equivalent * 1+ year of customer service or administrative experience * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously * Basic proficiency with office systems and technology Preferred * Experience in insurance, financial services, call center, or customer support environments * Familiarity with CRM or policy management systems * Interest in developing a career in insurance operations or client services Skills & Competencies * Customer-first mindset with professional judgment * Clear, calm communication in routine and escalated situations * Strong follow-through and responsiveness * Organizational discipline and accuracy * Adaptability in a regulated, process-driven environment Work Environment * Office-based or hybrid environment, depending on business needs * Standard business hours, with occasional overtime during peak customer demand * Fast-paced, customer-facing administrative setting Growth & Development This role provides exposure to customer service and insurance operations and may serve as a stepping stone to future roles in client services, insurance operations, licensing support, or other administrative career paths, based on performance, business needs, and qualifications.
