The Ohio Department of Insurance’s License Division is seeking a detailed oriented candidate to fill the Insurance Licensing Examiner position. The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated professional with a strong work ethic, have excellent time management skills and be able to multi-task several projects/issues at the same time. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: · Gathers information and documents · Review and analyze applications and supporting documents to determine license eligibility or continued eligibility · Review and analyze license status and transactions · Performs maintenance services on license records · Reviews, researches, and resolves customer issues and complaints · Make appropriate referrals to management and/or other divisions · Provides professional written and/or verbal response for requests of information · Assist customers via telephone/email by providing accurate and professional responses · Performs related office and clerical duties · Assists in the overall operation of the division · Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications 36 months training or 36 months experience in insurance field (i.e., regulatory or industry) (e.g., agent, licensing technician, underwriter, claims adjuster); two (2) courses or six (6) months experience in customer service; 12 months training or 12 months experience in operation of personal computer. Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
Responsibilities
