The Commercial Lines - Market Placement Specialist (CL’s MPS) is responsible for assisting Insurance Agents/Advisors in producing new business, implementing agency marketing plans and maintaining information on prospects, clients and companies which will support the agency marketing efforts. The Market Placement Specialist plays a key role in building and maintaining relationships with carrier and broker partners. Required to perform essential functions and meet service standards and Best Practices developed by Choice Insurance - A Vizance Company.
This is an onsite role at our Golden Valley, MN Choice Insurance branch.

Responsibilities
  • Set priorities and manage analytical workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate creation of deliverables and other responsibilities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans to meet agency goals
  • Provide assistance to insurance advisors in developing and maintaining prospect lists and prospect information
  • Work collaboratively with teams to analyze and develop a strategy for placement of coverage.
  • Arrange & facilitate meetings with collaborators.
  • Monitor market trends continuously to ensure the sale and profitability of commercial lines products
  • Develops recommendations to advise clients on the best option that will meet their needs and to place and retain the business.
  • Serve as key contact with insurance carriers for marketing coverage for new business quotes, including requesting quotes, evaluating, and conducting fact-based negotiation of rates and coverage features.
  • Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.
  • Participate in the peer review process, primarily as the reviewed party. May also have the opportunity to act as a reviewer for other analysts’ work. Receives assistance and guidance from Commercial Lines Members.
  • Responsibilities can also include an assigned book of business. Empowered to work closely within the day-to-day functions of the book including clear customer interaction.
  • Assists clients with making coverages changes and completes all service work for clients.
  • Maintains orderly electronic files and information, following agency standards.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Develop insurance programs. based on Choice Insurance expectations and standards. Development may include but are not limited to:
  • Rate and quote new risks within the underwriting authority of the Agency
  • Assists producers with entering new business coverage information in an automated environment; submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers; follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies
  • Classification and Rate structure analysis
  • Coverage Benchmarking and Claim Frequency Analysis
  • Assist Advisors in developing and maintaining prospect lists and basic prospect information
  • Develop and maintain marketing / pipeline information to help meet Agency performance goals
