[What the role is] he Insurance Department supervises and regulates insurance companies and has as its primary objective the protection of policyholders' interests. The department adopts a risk-focused approach in the prudential and market conduct supervision of insurance companies. In its standards setting role, the department works closely with industry associations to promote the adoption of best practices by the industry. [What you will be working on] Responsibilities: To help execute the validation checks (using validation templates built by Insurance Department (ID) that Statistics and Library Division (SLD) of EKD used to perform for the regular returns collected from ID; To help send exception reports (i.e. where the data submitted by insurers are flagged by the validation templates to be out of range) to insurers as well as officers in charge for necessary follow up; To help to extract the submission dates of the returns and collate in a specified format for ID to track the timeliness of submission of returns; To assist in the review of the validation checks and work processes, with the view to streamline and automate the validation processes To help verify digitised returns/statistics related documents [What we are looking for] Knowledge in MS Word and MS Excel required Programming language like Python would be welcomed Good verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills and strong team player Careful and meticulous worker This is a 1-year contract.
