Description
As a Product Manager, Ford Pro Insure, you will be part of an agile team that intakes, ideates, and executes priorities that impact the commercial auto insurance customer journey (e.g., underwriting, billing, state requirements, Claims, etc). Manage diverse stakeholders across business and technology teams Maintain and manage refined product backlog Participate and lead Program Increment (PI) planning for your assigned squad Identify opportunities to streamline core business processes, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency within the commercial auto insurance product Work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure the overarching product vision is achieved Identify and resolve business and customer challenges within the policy processing platform, transforming them into opportunities for innovation and improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality launches that ensure an exceptional internal and external customer experience Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in partnership with business stakeholders to ensure delivery of features, including identifying and prioritizing defects Essential Criteria Strong understanding of the insurance customer journey and workflow sequencing Demonstrated experience in standing up a policy processing system and/or leading platform modernization efforts 5+ years of experience working in product management in the insurance industry. Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, including offshore engineering teams, to deliver complex features Demonstrated experience in building consensus and driving alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a clear product vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences. A proven track record of leading the launch and management of software products (front-end, back-end, or both) throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic goals Employ a data-driven approach to product prioritization, utilizing data and analytics to inform decision-making and roadmap development at a strategic level Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education. Desirable Criteria Experience working as a Commercial Product Manager, including experience with state filings and an understanding of the regulatory environment for insurance Strong advocate for the voice of the customer (both internal and external), integrating this insight into the decision-making process. Champions out-of-the-box thinking in developing product ideas and problem-solving, utilizing metrics and KPIs to drive decisions and roadmap direction Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
