Responsibilities
  • Partner with Insurance Sales Directors to generate insurance sales through advisors in the MGA and National Account distribution channels
  • Use daily phone contact with advisors and insurance specialists to build relationships
  • Incentive for this position includes competitive base salary with commission component
  • Strategic prospecting of new advisors to increase sales, including following up on leads
  • Increase productivity of existing advisors who have done limited insurance business with Sun Life
  • Promote and recommend Sun Life product illustrations and sales strategies
  • Provide individual case support for new and existing business partners with the goal of helping advisors understand Sun Life products, processes and to place new business
  • Work with advisors in competitive situations to provide the support needed to win the sale
  • Provide life and health product and illustration training, including awareness of sales strategies and the sales cycle to independent advisors via phone and virtual conferencing tools
  • Participate in outbound contact campaigns designed to raise awareness of the team and its ability to support advisors
  • Participate in post-launch sales initiatives to develop advisor interest in campaigns and product enhancements, with the goal of generating sales and increasing market share
  • Work with the Regional Director to develop a tactical plan for the region that will provide direction for the marketing and sale of Sun Life products and services within the firms
  • Respond to inquiries about Sun Life’s individual life and health products and processes
