Overview Position: Insurance Services Specialist Location: Austin, TX or U.S. Remote OK- must be able to work 8am - 5pm CST Salary: up to $27/hr. Position Summary: The Insurance Services Specialist will report to the Insurance Supervisor and is responsible for reviewing reports and working tasks on a daily basis to monitor our insurance vendor. Responsibilities Work insurance reports daily, monthly, or bi-monthly to monitor our insurance vendor disburses premiums timely or letters are sent out timely according to the business rules and investor guidelines. Review reports to ensure all loans in a flood zone have flood coverage and meet flood guidelines. Works insurance, flood, and loss draft related tasks within MSP. Address and log escalations on hazard, loss draft, and flood issues for inquiries, disputes, and complaints to ensure they are handled within specified timelines. Communicates with borrowers and or agents as necessary to resolve inquiries. Works with the supervisor to identify, define, and implement process changes. Qualifications Candidate must have at least 1 - 2 years of knowledge in escrow – Insurance, Loss Draft, Flood Services. Minimum 1 - 2 years of mortgage experience. In-depth knowledge of MSP, with at least 3 years recent experience working with MSP. History of reliable attendance. Combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the essential job functions. Has knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts and practices and procedures within the mortgage industry. Preferred background in escrow mortgage servicing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
