About the Job We are looking for a well-organized Insurance Specialist to be involved in a wide range of support activities in our insurance and authorization department. You will also assist in creating policies, processes, and documents. Under this role, the Insurance Specialist will be working directly with one of our customers and delivering the tasks outlined in the responsibilities section – see below. Responsibilities: Verify patient insurance coverage, ensuring accuracy and eligibility for proposed healthcare services. Prepare and submit comprehensive authorization requests to insurance companies with all required documentation. Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather relevant clinical information and facilitate the prior authorization process. Monitor the status of authorization requests, follow up with insurance companies, and maintain detailed records of communications. Investigate and address insurance denials, resubmitting requests and appealing denials when necessary. Communicate with patients to explain the prior authorization process, potential delays, and any financial responsibilities. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and insurance company policies. Other insurance related tasks assigned. Requirements: 1 to 3 years of experience in insurance verification and pre-authorization required. Must be able to work from 8am to 5pm EST. Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular). Must be able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Must be able to work in a fast paced, always growing/professional/competitive environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to accurately perform data entry and pay close attention to detail. Willing to relocate in Clark Pampanga – A must!!
