Description Multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center looking for full time Insurance Verification Specialist in Healthcare, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. This position is responsible for verifying patient's insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to services being rendered. Confirms policy details including deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximums. Identify coverage limitations and notify patients and internal teams of potential financial responsibility. Accurately enter and update insurance information in electronic health record. Communicate with insurance carriers via phone, portals, and electronic systems. Collaborate with front desk, billing, coding and clinical staff to resolve insurance issues. Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and healthcare regulations. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards. Position is located at Waterbury Surgery Centers Business Office in Prospect, CT. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare insurance verification. Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance plans. Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10 and authorization processes a plus. Proficiency with EHR. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
