Acadian Client Services is seeking a Insurance Verifier to join the Verification Department in Lafayette, LA. Summary of Duties: Responsible for verifying all required information necessary to prepare accounts for submission to the third-party payor. Job Location: Lafayette, LA. This position is based in the office, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. This is NOT a Work From Home position. Essential Functions:  * Verify insurance information including eligibility, copay, deductibles and out of pockets * Handle incoming calls, for specific payor units * Initiate contact with patient/guarantors, third party payors, and facilities * Ensure accuracy of demographic information * Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Proficient in Google, MS Office Suite or related software   * Previous medical billing experience preferred * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely * Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with coworkers and patients  * Professional work ethic and dress code * Ability to adhere to productivity goals, departmental and company guidelines, policies and procedures * Maintain highest level of confidentiality * Punctual with strong attendance history   All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
