GENERAL SUMMARY The primary responsibilities of the Intake Services Manager are to perform and oversee all resident intakes, to initiate resident familiarity with program guidelines, and to properly assess an individual’s qualifications before admission. Additionally, the Intake Services Manager supervises a team of Intake Coordinators and Specialists. St. Matthew’s House is a faith based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that exists to transform lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined. Intake Functions: Coordinate admissions and referrals with partner agencies Assesses the appropriateness and eligibility of potential residents prior to admission Maintain waitlist for each residential property- Shelters and Recovery Programs Conduct residential intakes and obtain all required documentation Assign appropriate Case Manager, bed, and chore if applicable Review program expectations with each new resident at time of intake Coordinates transportation needs for new residents Documents resident’s medication in Mission Tracker at intake Checks personal emails and MARS report daily and responds appropriately Along with department staff, checks previous day’s discharges and makes sure DNA Fusion and Mission Tracker reflect changes Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers Presents the Gospel message to residents when the opportunity is available. Leadership Functions: Attends required meetings as the representative of the Intake Department Cultivates relationships with partner agencies Supervises Intake team and daily operations of Intake Department Recruit, hire, and train new Intake staff Manages departmental budget and strategic goals Report department status to Director, providing key metrics Ensure that intakes are completed with Matthew 25: 35-45 principles Pray with residents and staff as opportunities are available Completes all job duties with St. Matthew’s House core values as the guiding principle. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people, including people who may be in crisis. Ability to understand project goals and objectives, engage in planning, and implement goals within a team structure. Strong communication skills: ability to write well and communicate effectively, specifically over the phone, through letters and email. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR 3 years’ experience. Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals who are homeless or suffering from addiction. Ministerial counseling preferred. Confidentiality: Works with highly confidential information. Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities. Physical Demand: Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hours at a time and lift at least 25 pounds. Must be able to bend or kneel to the ground. Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
