We are seeking a dedicated Intake Social Worker (Bilingual) to join our dynamic Customer Care team. Responsibilities

As the first point of contact, you’ll play a vital role in connecting individuals with the right programs and services. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments with clients experiencing mental health challenges to determine program eligibility.
  • Adhere to established intake protocols, documentation standards, and procedural guidelines.
  • Provide brief supportive interventions to clients during the intake process.
  • Accurately document client information within agency databases and case tracking systems.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to client crises in coordination with agency protocols.
  • Manage incoming inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely and appropriate redirection to agency personnel.
  • Facilitate intake assessments for the Partner Assault Response (PAR) Program, including accurate data entry into relevant systems.
  • Process referrals from the Windsor Police Service through the IPV Early Intervention Program and provide timely brief support and referrals for survivors.
  • Attend local hospitals to assess clients experiencing suicidal ideation and determine eligibility for agency counselling services.
  • Establish applicable session fees, process payments, and verify third-party insurance coverage (e.g., Green Shield, Blue Cross).
  • Collaborate with national EAP providers and affiliated agencies to coordinate client services across Canada.
  • Schedule counselling and life management sessions in accordance with EAP contracts and client preferences.
  • Participate in ongoing evaluation of intake procedures in collaboration with the Intake Coordinator and Program Managers.
  • Contribute to service planning by recommending improvements based on client needs and service trends.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students, including training, oversight, and performance evaluation.
