We are looking for an Intake Specialist I who will serve as the face of FreedomCare in the communities we serve in Massachusetts. This is a hybrid role with a required commute of 3 days per week into our Charlestown, MA office. Department & Position Overview: As an Intake Specialist I you will work closely with patients and caregivers to educate them on the application and enrollment process. You will be working closely with the Patient's Case Manager, as well as inter-departmental teams within the business to ensure a quick and efficient turn-around time to get them on Care. You will be providing seamless Customer Service experience, while ensuring that our clients are receiving the care they need. Every Day You Will: Work closely with Patients and Caregivers to educate them and assist them on the application and enrollment process, with the goal of completing the eligibility process and onboarding the Patients and Caregivers to active Care status within state specified timeframes of the initial call to FreedomCare. Ensure a seamless, complete, and effective enrollment process for all prospective clients into the AFC (Adult Foster Care) program Be the initial point-of-contact for calls from prospective clients, caregivers or pending enrollees Manage a high open caseload until the enrollment process is complete Consistently meet monthly completed Start of Care (SOC) Provide exceptional customer service and positive experience for potential patients/caregiver Regular communication with a variety of medical providers, MCOs, and Case Management agencies regarding patient authorizations Navigate multiple systems and portals to determine eligibility and obtain authorization Regularly achieving monthly new enrollee goals Maintain data input, scheduling, document uploading and initiate patient enrollment confirmation or rejection communications Ideal Candidate Will Possess: Experience in high-volume inbound and outbound call environment Motivated to help patients/caregivers with the drive to exceed open case targets and metrics Must have poise and patience when dealing with clients Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to comfortably resolve issues over the telephone Computer proficiency required; strong typing skills and ability to leverage technology to identify, research and solve customer issues Keen attention detail, metric driven, excellent time management skills High empathy and collaborative team player Flexibility and openness as the role and responsibilities may change and/or evolve as we grow! This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $18.00 and $22.00 an hour at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications. Compensation Range $20—$24 USD
