We are currently recruiting for an Intakes Supervisor to join our busy Intakes Team here at Kepak Merthyr Tydfil. This is an exciting opportunity working 4 days on / 4 days off - 6.00am to 6.00pm with a competitive salary. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To Supervise Frozen operations area as required to meet the needs of the business. Contribute to the Intakes Department in all aspects of operational efficiencies and staff management. SCOPE OF JOB To ensure completion of required picking & loading activities To monitor and control “Blast Freezing” activities onsite Ensure compliance with stock movements requirements specifically with regards to scanning and location. Health & Safety of employees under your direction Ensure required training and development of staff is fulfilled To liaise with the wider management team and department effectively and timely To ensure compliance with Stock movement requirements to maintain the operating system Ensure supply of correct product to the Retail operation Monitor fork lift equipment and report any faults To carry out regular stock checks To ensure the smooth integration of product into warehouse from both internal and external suppliers Ensure company discipline procedure is adhered to at all times Analyse and improve staff turnover Manage staffing levels on shift DIMENSIONS & LIMITS OF AUTHORITY Responsible for Logistics area relevant to role (Frozen Operations) Communicate to the Intakes Manager any issues in a timely manner Monitor and react to a changing environment, ensuring any raw material requirements are met where required for production along with picking and loading issues.
