NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is working Mon – Fri with every 2nd Sat. Flexibility to cover all shifts is required.
We provide services Across Leverndale and Dykebar Hospitals both are Mental Health. We are also have a Community locations across Glasgow and Paisley. The community locations includes Gorbals HC, EWood HC, Barrhead Health & Care Centre, this is the biggest one. We have another 14 smaller places in Glasgow side. On the Paisley side is Renfrew Health and Social Care Centre the biggest one but also we have around 10 smaller Health Centres. This role will support the Supervisory team managing staff cleaning patient areas, clinical and non-clinical departments, offices and administration areas to comply with national standards of cleanliness, providing patient catering at ward level, patient laundering and messenger services within various health care environments. This role will also take responsibilities working closely with Porter Supervisor to make sure all aspect of porters’ task are completed. Preparing and monitoring rotas and keep eye on the all aspects of our Vans, both sides. To responsibilities will include for example, allocating staff resources, auditing of services, input payroll information, Monitoring Quality Planner and carry out staff training, liaise with service users and department leads, ensuring compliance with reports, training requirements and attend meetings as required. Whilst this role is based at Leverndale Hospital, it has a multisite responsibility, therefore a driving licence is essential
