Description
SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator with expertise in transforming legacy command and control systems into a modern hybrid cloud environment to accelerate decision making and increase mission success. This new program is part of a broader effort to provide a tactical operational picture aligned with the JADC2 and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) to adapt to new and emerging threats.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to serve as the C2 Integration Development Lead. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the development and integration of Command and Control (C2) systems, ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms and systems within complex defense environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of software solutions supporting C2 integration efforts.
  • Oversee technical integration of C2 systems with external partners and platforms, ensuring compliance with industry and defense standards.
  • Guide a team of developers, providing technical mentorship, code reviews, and development best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, product management, and cybersecurity.
  • Define and enforce integration protocols, data formats (e.g., Link-16, VMF, JREAP), and messaging standards.
  • Develop APIs and middleware to support real-time data exchange and system interoperability.
  • Ensure software quality, performance, and scalability through testing, continuous integration, and validation processes.
  • Lead troubleshooting and issue resolution efforts for C2-related integration challenges.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, briefings, and status updates for stakeholders.
    Qualifications
    TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
    US Citizenship and an active DOD secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
