QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in semiconductor device design and development, specifically in power FET technology.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as TCAD, SPICE, and other relevant software.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor physics and device fabrication processes.
  • Experience with 300mm fab processes and technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills to present technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with high-voltage and high-current power FET applications.
  • Knowledge of reliability testing and failure analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics
    Salary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $164,105 to $221,605 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize discrete power FET devices for various applications.
  • Conduct simulations and modeling to predict device performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power FETs into system-level solutions.
  • Perform characterization and testing of power FET devices to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to drive continuous improvement in device performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in power FET technology and industry trends.
  • Document design processes, test results, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during production ramp-up.
  • Report directly to the Sr. Director of Technology Development.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including presenting technical information in executive-level reviews
