This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an INTEGRATION ENGINEER - HL7 in United States. This role is ideal for a healthcare IT professional with expertise in medical imaging systems and healthcare interoperability standards. The Integration Engineer – HL7 will design, implement, and maintain integrations across PACS, RIS, EHR, and other clinical systems to ensure accurate and timely data exchange. You will collaborate with radiology, IT, and clinical teams to optimize workflow, maintain high system availability, and support mission-critical operations. The role requires strong technical knowledge of HL7, DICOM, FHIR, and API-based integrations, alongside troubleshooting and analytic skills. You will also develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and support procedures to enhance operational efficiency. This position offers flexible work options, professional growth opportunities, and direct impact on patient care quality. \n Accountabilities: Design, configure, implement, and maintain system integrations using HL7, FHIR, DICOM, APIs, and related healthcare standards. Support integration between RIS, PACS, dictation/voice recognition systems, EHR systems, and other clinical applications. Test, troubleshoot, and optimize integration interfaces to ensure accurate data mapping, formatting, and transmission. Monitor system performance, maintain routing workflows, and manage storage configurations for DICOM systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, internal data security standards, and maintain confidentiality of PHI. Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and external partners. Develop and maintain workflows, documentation, SOPs, and assist in upgrades, maintenance, and critical project support. Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely response to integration issues. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of HL7 and DICOM standards, PACS, RIS, and EHR systems. Familiarity with FHIR standards is preferred. Experience with TCP/IP networking, REST/SOAP APIs, and interoperability tools. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid Florida Driver’s License and ability to occasionally lift or move equipment (~75 lbs).
