Description

We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer with experience in Batteries or Hydrogen Fuel Cells to join our growing team. This role will focus primarily on mechanical design and integration of vehicle sub-systems into complete vehicle platforms.
You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to support integration of fuel cell power systems (including fuel cell stacks and balance of plant), electrified auxiliary systems, and related mechanical/electrical interfaces. This work spans across commercial vehicles initially, with potential expansion into automotive, marine, aerospace, and industrial applications.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of related engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of BEV and FCEV architectures.
  • Commercial vehicle experience preferred; CDL or eligibility for CDL training is a plus.
  • Familiarity with heavy-duty trucks and buses is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems (CATIA, Creo, AutoCAD, etc.) for viewing, sectioning, and measuring designs.
  • Understanding of BOM management, GD&T, and manufacturing drawing checks.
  • Experience with engineering documentation (FMEA, DVP&R) and problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to apply engineering theory to practical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Support vehicle integration activities for electric and fuel cell-powered vehicles through all stages of development.
  • Perform requirements capture, system design, supplier sourcing, prototype builds, and test/verification.
  • Collaborate with design and analysis teams to deliver system architectures that meet vehicle-level performance targets.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate analytical design calculations, simulations, and testing, interpreting results to drive design improvements.
  • Work with manufacturing teams on DFM/DFA considerations and process development.
  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, test houses, and clients to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Present results and recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Manage tasks within defined budget and schedule constraints, escalating issues when needed.
