Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse business and technical requirements to identify and define integration needs
  • Design and implement scalable, robust integration solutions aligned with architectural standards and best practices.
  • Deliver end-to-end integration solutions across multiple platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows to optimise business processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Leverage third-party APIs and SDKs to build secure, reliable integrations that meet compliance and security requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to team members and stakeholders on integration approaches and solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration frameworks, tools, and practices within the department.
  • Support the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies to enhance integration capabilities and outcomes.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field and substantial professional experience in a comparable organisation for at least 5 years.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering end-to-end integration solutions across multiple platforms and systems.
  • Experience using RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and other data exchange formats.
  • Well-developed knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL DB.
  • Programming skills in Microsoft technologies i.e. C#, with experience leveraging Azure integration services and messaging systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role.
  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
