Job Purpose The role of the Integration Engineer - TCS is responsible for: • Providing engineering support to Simulation & Test Lab as per respective Project & business requirements • Supporting the Train Control systems simulation requirements, test plans in accordance with project specifications and as guided by the Project Manager/Engineering Manager. Reporting to the Simulation & Test Lab Manager, the role is accountable for providing technical inputs into bid submissions and tender strategy, designing tasks on an adhoc basis, as well as responsible for providing technical inputs during design and delivery of TCS projects. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and selection of equipment to suit Simulation and Test Lab requirements for all TCS and Rail System projects. Generate the contract Bill of Material (BOM) under the supervision Prepare designs with simplicity and economy which meet the project specifications Assist in preparing designs in accordance with the company design process, engineering instructions and quality procedures Prepare, register, and revise all company related integration, inspection and test documents as directed by the Project Engineer/Design Engineer Assist in preparing integration and test plans • Assist in reviewing and resolving queries with the Verification Engineer regarding designs Review and agree with Project Engineer design timeframes shown on design program Attend design reviews as requested by the Project Engineer/Design Engineer Contribute to the giving of technical advice to the functional Departmental Managers, in conjunction with the Project Engineer/Design Engineer Assist in problem solving using a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques or methods proposed by the National Engineering Manager Repair Lab equipment (hardware and software) as directed by the Project Engineer/Design Engineer and/or Engineering Manager Assist in the design in accordance with the Design Advice Notes issued by the Project Engineer/Design Engineer Prepare correspondence as directed by the Project Engineer/Design Engineer. Carry out the task of Testing Engineer, when necessary and as directed by the Project Engineer/ Design Engineer. Contribute to the effectiveness of own work through productive personal behaviour. Qualifications and Requirements Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline and able to obtain Acceptance by Engineers Australia or equivalent. IT / Software or TCS Design Fundamentals - desirable criteria. Maintain levels of competency as required for the TCS design, and Testing requirements of the projects with aim to maintain Level 1 AEO Competency Why Apply?
