Description
At T&G Global, integration sits at the heart of our digital transformation. As we continue to modernise our SAP landscape and expand our cloud capabilities, we’re looking for an Integration Technical Lead to join our Development & Integration Chapter and play a key role in shaping how our systems connect, scale and evolve. This is a hands on technical leadership role, ideal for someone who sits comfortably between solution design and development, and who enjoys getting into the detail while setting standards for others to follow. Why this role exists Integration demand across T&G has grown significantly. With more cloud applications, more trading partners, and a broader global footprint across New Zealand, North America and Asia. We’re moving towards SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite and SAP BTP, and we need additional senior capability to: · Design robust, future-fit integration solutions · Build and support complex integrations in the cloud · Properly document our integration landscape and data flows · Strengthen our internal integration capability and centre of excellence You’ll work alongside experienced SAP developers, contributing to both delivery today and capability building for tomorrow. What you’ll be doing Integration design & architecture · Lead the technical design of integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems · Create clear, detailed artefacts such as UML sequence, component and data flow diagrams · Maintain accurate integration and interface documentation within SAP LeanIX · Define and promote integration patterns, naming conventions and best practices Hands-on integration development · Design, build and deploy integrations using SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management) · Implement event-driven integrations using SAP Event Mesh · Configure and extend SAP solutions using SAP BTP services · Use tools like Postman to test, simulate and document APIs · Apply modern security standards including OAuth and mTLS S/4HANA & ABAP development · Develop and support integration related ABAP solutions (OData services, CDS views, proxies, IDocs) · Ensure performance, quality and alignment with Clean Core principles Quality, support & continuous improvement · Conduct technical and design reviews · Contribute to CI/CD improvements for integration artefacts · Provide Level 3 support for complex production integration issues · Support go-lives and ensure smooth handover to operations About you You’re a senior SAP Developer who enjoys being close to the technology, while also stepping back to design and document solutions properly. You’re collaborative, pragmatic, and comfortable asking questions early rather than working in isolation. You’ll likely bring: · 7+ years’ experience in SAP development and integration · Strong hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management) · Solid ABAP skills on S/4HANA (OData, CDS, IDocs, proxies) · Experience designing and documenting integrations using UML · Familiarity with SAP BTP services such as Event Mesh, Build Process Automation and Connectivity Service · A strong understanding of modern integration technologies (REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, OData) · Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments Nice to have (but not essential): · Experience migrating from SAP PO/PI to SAP Integration Suite · TOGAF or architecture certification · SAP BTP or Integration Suite certifications · Exposure to other integration platforms (e.g. MuleSoft) If you come from a non-SAP integration background but are keen to upskill into SAP BTP, we’re open to transferable skills and learning mindset. Why T&G Global? · Hands on, meaningful work. Yu’ll build real solutions, not just slide decks · Modern SAP landscape. Cloud integrations, BTP services, and S/4HANA transformation · Learning & growth. Structured learning paths, upskilling into solution or enterprise architecture · Collaborative, flat team structure. We value team players who share knowledge and ask questions · Flexible working. Hybrid setup, flexible start/finish times, core hours approach · Supportive culture . Grounded, open, and pragmatic people who get things done You’ll be part of a team that’s actively building a centre of excellence for SAP and integration, with opportunities to work on technology that many organisations simply don’t have in house. If you’re a senior integration developer ready to step into a broader technical leadership role, without giving up hands-on work, then we’d love to hear from you. Proof of eligibility to work in New Zealand is required for all applicants and any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory drug test, credit check, driver licence check, and security check. We want T&G to be a place where everyone is accepted, respected and celebrated for who they are – regardless of our similarities or differences.
