Description
About Us Datatrac powers the last mile of logistics. We’re building the next generation of our cloud platform to help delivery companies, drivers, and their customers connect seamlessly. Integrations are at the heart of that mission — enabling our customers’ systems to communicate directly with Datatrac to handle high-volume orders and real-time updates. The Role We’re looking for a mid-level engineer who can also lead our integrations program — someone technical enough to build, test, and maintain integrations, but also strategic enough to manage customer relationships, plan projects, and develop new technology partnerships. This role blends hands-on engineering with program-level ownership. Some weeks will be deeply technical, others more focused on customer collaboration and coordination. You’ll help shape how Datatrac connects with the broader logistics ecosystem and ensure integrations are a driver of growth. What You’ll Do Program Management Responsibilities Work directly with customers to gather business and technical requirements for integrations. Scope and quote integration projects, define timelines, and manage rollout testing. Collaborate with other engineering and client services teams to align integration work with business goals. Develop and maintain partnerships with other software providers that expand Datatrac’s reach and capabilities. Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and external stakeholders. Engineering Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain integrations between Datatrac and customers’ systems. Develop APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines for secure, high-volume data exchange. Troubleshoot and support integrations in production environments. Write clean, maintainable Python code (Django, Flask, or FastAPI preferred). Contribute to improving integration infrastructure, documentation, and internal tooling. What We’re Looking For 5–10 years of experience in software engineering, integrations, or solutions engineering. Strong technical skills in Python, RESTful APIs, and data exchange protocols (JSON, XML, EDI). Proven experience working directly with external customers or partners on technical projects. Excellent communication and business acumen — able to translate between technical and business needs. Familiarity with SaaS architectures, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and event-driven systems. Comfortable balancing technical execution with cross-functional program management. Nice to Have Experience in logistics, supply chain, or enterprise SaaS. Prior startup experience — thriving in fast-moving, collaborative environments. Experience building or managing technology partnerships. Why Datatrac Shape the integration layer of a mission-critical logistics platform. Blend engineering with customer-facing strategy in a high-impact role. Remote-friendly, flexible, and collaborative culture. Competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
The role involves managing the integrations program while also engaging in hands-on engineering tasks. You will work with customers to gather requirements, scope projects, and ensure successful integration rollouts.
