SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, and returning to school after this work term
  • Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • A valid driver’s license and confident driving skills with a 1/2 ton truck on gravel/winter roads
  • Requires technical, interpersonal, and project management skillset

Responsibilities

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM

Work with Asset Integrity, Materials, and Machinery Engineers to support management of equipment integrity programs (pipelines, facility piping, rotating equipment, vessels, tanks). The role includes inspection planning, equipment performance surveillance, assessing corrosion mechanisms, root cause analysis, repair plans, and recommendations to improve uptime/reliability. The individual will get a chance to work on an enthusiastic and highly technical team who support the day-to-day operation of 5 plants and >800 pipelines. Excellent opportunity to develop field based engineering experience. Individual will interface directly with Technical Subject Matter Experts, Operations, and Maintenance teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop integrity programs for new/changed equipment systems
  • Develop inspection plans for on-site equipment
  • Review failure mechanisms and complete root cause failure analysis
