POSITION OVERVIEW

You are detail-oriented and have a process-driven mindset, interested in building a career in the Energy Utility Industry. Our Integrity Optimization Engineer (IOE) provides a great opportunity to learn from subject matter experts in the system integrity field at FortisBC.
This pivotal role bridges the gap between technical engineering functions and business process optimization, ensuring the efficient execution of integrity management programs for gas transmission pipelines. The selected candidate will be supporting several projects from a data governance and process alignment perspective.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document technical and business requirements.
  • Translate engineering needs into clear, actionable deliverables that align with project goals and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain centralized documentation systems to ensure traceability, compliance, and historical reference.
  • Support validation and maintenance of pipeline line lists in coordination with Project Management and Engineering teams.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies that may impact decision-making or regulatory compliance.
  • Consolidate and organize lump dig data to improve tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
