Job Title: Intelligence Analyst Department: Security
Summary:
This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and evaluating information from a variety of sources, such as law enforcement databases, surveillance, intelligence networks and geographic information systems. Guides the investigative, programmatic, and policy decisions by the airport security and law enforcement communities. Manages the collection, analysis, validity, and dissemination of raw, primary, and secondary data derived from various sources to anticipate and prevent organized crime activities, such as terrorism.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors technology and other forms of communication for security and data breaches.
  • Manages and validates digital evidence from the CCTV assigned to the Airport Operations Control Center

(AOCC).

  • Provides guidance using knowledge of reporting formats, procedures, policies, requirements, and

dissemination.

  • Prepares comprehensive written reports, presentations, maps, and or charts, based on research, collection,

and analysis of intelligence data.

  • Serves as a liaison and responds to law enforcement and internal Security Department requests.
  • Validates the procedures necessary to identify, analyze, extract, and provide copies of the digital evidence to

Law Enforcement agencies and the Internal Security Department.

  • Set goals and lead strategic insider security risk initiatives within a crossover logical and physical analytic

domain.

  • Foster and develop liaisons across other high-performing teams to advance the insider risk program.
  • Analyzes intelligence data to identify patterns and trends in criminal activity and creates and distributes reports

that offer recommendations to improve security.

  • Evaluate threats and conduct risk assessments.
  • Validate known intelligence with data from other sources.
  • Participates in meetings, trainings, and orientations.
  • Executes any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a related area or equivalent experience.
  • The position requires two (2) years of related experience.
  • Able to pass background investigations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to adapt easily to change.

  • Under general supervision, proceeds alone and independently in regular tasks. It refers to the supervisor, or others, cases or situations that are questionable.
  • Probable errors or problems of quality of work are usually detected in subsequent operations and are mostly confined to a single department or phase of the activities of the organization. Most of the work is verified or cross-checked. Fixing it may involve others have to cross-check again.
  • Regular contact with internal security department providing or obtaining information or reports, to discuss

confidential or non-confidential information or administrative routine issues; Contact outside of the
organization with local and federal agencies, service providers to inform situations or request information

where inappropriate courtesy could affect the relations.

  • Work entails handling confidential information such as security codes and passwords.

Also work entails handling confidential information of federal programs or investigations. Inappropriate handling of confidential information could have an impact on the organization’s security in terms of unauthorized access and leaking of information which could be used for other purposes that would not serve its best interests or those of employees and the general public. Likewise, it would have an impact on the security of external clients and the community at large. Safeguards confidential information at all times and demonstrates integrity and discretion when working with it.

  • Flow of work and character of duties involve mental and visual concentration fixed in the work. Coordination of skills and manual skills and constant mental and visual attention are required for sustained periods of time.
  • Remote likelihood of employee accidents or injuries. Could get superficial and insignificant cuts and scratches that would only require use of disinfectant and simple bandages. Employee would return immediately to work area.
  • Good working conditions mainly in office. Occasionally, only sometimes, out of office exposed to elements such as noise, dust, heat, odors. May be required to work after working hours, weekends and in emergency situations.
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
  • This position does not require supervision of personnel.
