Responsibilities

The Business Intelligence Specialist is a key and active participant of the Governance, Strategy and Intelligence Department.
In this role, you will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with various stakeholders and areas to understand their data needs and develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations that support strategic initiatives. You will provide clear, accurate and appropriate information, research and analysis to the organisation in order to provide the right advice at the right time for evidence-based decision making.
The Business Intelligence Specialist will also analyse outcomes for TZV business performance and develop and integrate intelligence offerings to meet business, stakeholder and community expectations.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for monitoring and researching performance trends and providing advice on key factors influencing operations performance and scope key areas for improvement within business functions.
  • Responsible for the provision of subject matter expertise relating to performance analysis methodologies and systems.
  • Develop and integrate intelligence offerings to meet business, stakeholder and community
  • Oversee the coordination and proactive collection of information using all available intelligence sources, and ensures these actions align with strategic and operational priorities.
  • Provide written business insights papers for internal and external stakeholders as required on current or future trends in emergency service sector.
  • Build, foster and maintain productive relationship with TZV, government, emergency services and regulatory stakeholders.
