Role: Therapeutic Youth Worker (TSIL)
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Location: Tweed Heads, Ballina and Lismore
Hourly Rate: From $37.73 per hour + Super (Dependant on qualifications & experience)
As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you’ll be a key support for children & young people aged 16 - 18 to prepare young people to successfully transition to independent living by acquiring independent living skills through the provision of accommodation, case management and structured and individualised life skills programs.
You will be part of a dedicated to team working to ensuring a safe, homelike environment where these young people can thrive, supporting them to learn independent life skills, develop problem solving skills and to build appropriate and positive relationships with others.
This is a permanent full time position Monday – Friday 9am-5pm.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher) OR hold relevant experience and complete Diploma qualification offered by LWB. (Please note: a qualification is desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
  • A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Willingness to assist with activities of daily living, including personal care (if required).
    Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
