JOB SUMMARY

The Interactive website intern will assist full time staff to research and develop educational games and interactive websites. They will help develop strategies to engage people in our region to share knowledge and history. Help encourage engagement with our current interactive websites and help develop new ones. The intern will learn how to edit digital media content and develop interactive websites. They will develop writing for communications, graphic design, and media arts skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: CANDIDATE CRITERIA

· Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field.
· Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate.
· Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
· Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
· Once hired, the candidate must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.
Education: A recent university degree from Social Sciences and Humanities. Strong writing skills and a knowledge and interest in digital media production is essential. The intern will demonstrate a proficiency with editing software such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and basic website construction.
