The Boeing Company is seeking an Intercompany Accountant out of Hazelwood, MO to join the Intercompany Center of Excellence (COE). Other potential work locations include: Everett, WA; Renton, WA; and Mesa, AZ.
The Intercompany COE is an exciting and dynamic organization that emphasizes collaboration, engagement, and continuous development of process improvements. This team utilizes the IntraCompany Accounting Transfer (ICAT), an online accounting system that registers the correct transfer of costs among Boeing accounting business units, to manually and mechanically transfer costs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience with journal entries and data analysis
  • Experience with accounting software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience with GAAP, SOx, FAR and DFAR
  • Ability to articulate the narrative behind financial data
  • Skilled in streamlining processes and working with automation tools

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the ICAT system, ensuring accurate input of information and approval of transactions between entities
  • Serve as the focal point for intercompany transactions, specifically transferring costs across all sites, and ensuring that processes are functioning properly
  • Prepare and propose ICATS (funding, charges, billing, and all related activities for transferring costs between Boeing sites)
  • Streamline processes to improve efficiency and strengthen controls
  • Support automation projects and maintain proper documentation for ICAT creation, review, and approval
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, including subsidiaries, other accounting organizations, Finance Systems Analytics, and Information Technology (IT)
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOx), and government regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), as applicable
  • Present dashboards and metrics to leadership, articulating the narrative behind financial data
  • Oversee TCS and their tasks, working with automation tools to simplify current processes
  • Respond to inquiries regarding data involved in cost transfers, providing clear explanations
