Job Description The software efficiency and automation liaison will function primarily to work with the cell and molecular biology teams (departments 2016 and 2087), to identify projects that would benefit from either partial or complete automation. The liaison will work with technical teams to identify appropriate projects and see the automation process through from concept to lifecycle management. The liaison will also identify ongoing opportunities for automation systems and equipment and areas for efficiency gains within existing projects. The liaison will work in a cross functional environment to start projects with the development teams and then pass those projects on to the routine teams. The liaison will also serve as the subject matter expert on automation projects and maintain and administer associated software systems related to those projects. Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate Applies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility Demonstrates and promotes the company vision Demonstrates strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration Proactively plans and multitasks to maximize productivity Meets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration Regular attendance and punctuality Ability to learn and understand a variety of software systems relevant to molecular biology analysis, particularly with liquid handling and automation systems Analyze current laboratory processes to identify opportunities for automation and lean improvements Identify projects that may benefit from automation efforts and drive the discussion with clients and interal teams to implement automation, from design to implementation Manage SOPs, training, and other documentation related to specific automation systems and projects Administrate all software systems as needed for automation efforts (Waters' Andrew Alliance OneLab for example) Collaborate with all groups within the cellular and molecular biology space to align with automation needs across all teams Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all automation projects Works independently in a cross-functional team to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through project lifecycles Embraces challenges with a passion for continuous improvement Communicates effectively with client staff members Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner Performs other duties as assigned Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ): To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required. (List three to five key quantifiable skills or position requirements that the candidate must have to be considered for this position.) Education/Experience (BMQ): At least one year of previous experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Familiararity with cell and molecular biology assays, including execution and analysis. Additional Information Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
