Description

A great UHY client is seeking an Interim Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong Plex experience (required), at least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and solid business acumen.
The Interim Controller is an onsite position, with slight fluctuations depending on location. This is a contract position.

Interim Controller Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing financial policies
  • Overseeing the accounting staff
  • Ensuring compliance with financial and accounting regulations
  • Preparing and managing budgets
  • Managing financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements
  • Handling preparation for tax returns
  • Performing financial risk assessments and doing internal audits
  • Assisting with corporate financial decisions

Interim Controller Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree (B.A.) in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited college or university in a work-related discipline or field.
  • A Master s Degree (M.A.) in Accounting is a plus
  • A minimum of six years professional experience in Accounting
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations, and working knowledge of international finance
  • Proficiency with PLEX, financial analytics & scores, and management forecasts is mandatory
  • Industry experience in manufacturing is preferred
  • Demonstrated people skills and ability to cultivate and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Annual Internal Audit experience preferred
