Description

Charleston Day School is accepting applications for an Interim Director of Learning Services. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in education or a similar field although an advanced degree in learning support is preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of teaching or commensurate experience in an educational setting.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage learning services programming for students, both during the school day and after school
  • Work individually or in small groups with students in need of services
  • Produce accommodations reports for teachers to follow for any student with accommodations
  • Help families and teachers interpret and implement psychoeducational evaluations
  • Implement learning accommodations as needed
  • Assist families with arranging tutoring services
  • Coordinate tutor schedules and supervise the administration of tutoring
  • Organize and administer standardized testing throughout the school
  • Conduct one-on-one assessments such as spelling/phonemic testings

The Interim Director of Learning Services will start immediately upon hiring and will be invited to apply for a full time Director of Learning Services position in 2026.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
