Responsibilities

MAKE AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT IN A FLEXIBLE, STRATEGIC FINANCE ROLE

Are you a hands-on finance professional looking for a flexible, interim opportunity where your expertise can make an immediate impact?
At The University of Law, we are seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner (Project Support) to provide short-term cover until Spring 2026 during a transformative period. As we implement a new financial planning system (Unit4), this role is key to ensuring continuity in core FP&A activities across our faculties and functions.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

You’ll deliver responsive, ad-hoc financial partnering and performance insight, flexing across key stakeholders and processes to fill capacity gaps. You’ll support regular reporting cycles, provide clear and concise analysis, and help maintain high standards in forecasting, budgeting and data integrity during a busy period of change.
This is a remote/home working opportunity where you will need to be based in the UK.

As our Interim Finance Business Partner, you will be:

  • Supporting the monthly MI cycle, including commentary and variance analysis
  • Partnering with budget holders to improve financial understanding and drive performance
  • Contributing to the FY26 forecast review process
  • Responding to a variety of queries and providing decision-support analysis
  • Helping maintain consistency and quality in financial reporting and planning outputs
